Day 87- blood drive #2

Well today was our 2nd blood drive and it went well. I gave blood along with quite a few other people. Us STUCO members had to be to the school at 5:30 AM to set up. Well we didn't have to do this, but if we wanted free McDonald's for breakfast, we did :) It's been a long day! It was nice not going to my classes though. I had to wake up at 5am which was rough, I'll admit. I do like giving blood though. It makes me feel good to know I'm saving 3 people's lives potentially. This was my 3rd time, so I've saved 9 so far :) This is something I would like to continue to do throughout my lifetime.

I didn't take a picture in front of the door because I spent the night at Kelsey's last night.

Day 86

I accidentally slept in today which makes me really mad because I like my 1st hour. I just get to draw and paint! Who wouldn't like that!? My outfit I kind of threw together last minute, which it may not seem like.

Today's outfit came from...

Shirt- Meijers $6.50!
Jeans- Love Culture
Boots- Sears

I tried something new with my hair today, a "Waterfall Braid". I like it, I wish I had more time to play with it, but since I was already running late, I had to go as quick as possible today.

I am spending my night with my good pal Kelsey.

Task #2- letter

Task #2

A friend of mine, Kalli Barrone, picked this task to put in my jar. I was more than happy to do it too! She goes to the University of Michigan for Art I believe. She's a really nice, funny, pretty girl! I put the letter in a bigger bubble wrap envelope because there is a small surprise in there for her! I would tell you what it is, but she hasn't gotten the package yet, so I don't want to ruin it for her in case she reads this before she gets it!

Friday, my mum let me skip 1st and 2nd hour of school, which I was very thankful for! I showed up just before my lunch. After school I found out I had play practice. It was a lot of fun! It took place from 3-5:30 and we basically did choreography the whole time. It was a good time. That night I went to the basketball game! Sadly, the Varsity boys lost, but the Varsity girls won!

Friday's outfit came from...

Yoga Pants- Victoria's Secret
Shirt- H&M
Shoes- Target

Day 84

I've been so stressed out lately. I hate it. I'm hoping the future is brighter than right now, but my only thoughts right now are, " I can't wait to get out of here." Get out of here as in go off to college, get away from Lakewood and a majority of the people in it. I really do have a good heart and it really hurts my feelings when I hear of other people talking bad about me, especially when I haven't done anything to them and thought we were so close. It is a small town, I hear things, and these things hurt my feelings. Some people don't realize how easy it is to hurt someone elses feelings. You may not think I know, but I do.

I'm so stressed about school, and it's not even my classes. My classes are fairly easy. It's one teacher who really makes my day hell. I dread that class, and every day I'm upset afterwards. I'm really sick of it, and it's too late to drop the class. I am just praying these next few weeks go by very quickly.

I know I don't mention much about Spencer on here. This is because I'm not that girl that talks on the Internet about how much I like my boyfriend and how he is the greatest and blah blah blah. I don't like to read it when other girls post stuff like this, so I will not be one of those girls. Spencer really does help me with a lot of this stuff though and I'm so thankful for it. It just makes me happy when he sits and listens and tries to understand how I feel. He always says the right things and I'm truly thankful to have someone like him in my life.

Today's outfit came from...

Tank top- H&M
Cardigan-Cherokee Brand

Day 83

4Well today was an odd one! My outfit was very colorful might I add. As you know, I'm not really a colorful girl. A boy, Micah, in my grade asked me if I got the dress from Africa. I replied yes, and started to do an African like dance.

Today's outfit came from...

Dress- Charlotte Russe
Tights- JC Penny's
Boots- Sears

This dress was less than $10 also! Great deal!

Tonight I'm going to the Rivertown Mall with two of muh best friends, Aisha and Brooke. I'm really excited, I haven't been there in a while.

I love my friends. They truly are great!

Day 82

Ahh today.. was fairly good! Not a bad day what so ever. Was I upset we had school today? Oh of course! But it was bound to happen sometime. We had a snow day yesterday. Unexpected, but nice. I spent it making baby food for my bro, and working from 3-7. It was hard for me to wake up this morning, let me tell ya. I tried on this outfit this weekend and decided I liked it, so I took it off and put on something different to go on my date. I personally love this picture. I don't really know why.

Today's outfit came from...

Shirt- The Buckle
Denim Leggings- DSW
Scarf- So Simply
Boots- Meijers

At first I thought there was too much going on with this outfit, and truthfully I still think that. But sometimes, a lot of stuff going on is a good thing! My scarf matched my shirt believe it or not, but it had the same colors and everything so as odd as it is, they go together in my eyes. I realize you don't see somebody wearing winter boots with a fashionable outfit, but I decided to. I like this look a lot! This just shows that you can try putting together different things that might not go together in the first place. I admit, sometimes I put together things that should not be together, and maybe you think this outfit is one of them! Let me know what you think, I love other people's input. Tell me some crazy fashion ideas you've had yourself but have been too afraid to try!

Task #1- Mascot

Task 1

I was very worried this task would not work out. I asked our Student Council President if anyone already wanted to be the Mascot for the Basketball game Friday. He said yes, and another boy in our grade already wanted to be it. I got a text from him a few days later asking if I still wanted to be the Mascot. Of course I said yes.

As you can see, I was a little on the short side, but that's okay.
At half time, I went out on the court and danced. That was pretty fun! I will put a video on here later of it :)

Even Sawyer came to the game to watch Spencer play ball and watch his sis be the Mascot.

Okay, so I don't have a blog for Friday. I went on my MSU visit! It was pretty good. I wish I would've visited Ferris or Western first though. People say they know when they go to  a college once they visit. They just know. I'm not sure if that was what I felt. It's such a great school though, I really do love it.

HAPPY 6 MONTHS SAWYER!

My lil bro is getting so big! This is such a funny picture!

Day 80

Today, was just not exactly my day. I just haven't felt good all day and was just sick to my stomach. Not the pukey kind, I just didn't not want to be in school any longer. So I had my mum pick me up. Usually I drive to school but I didn't today. She picked me up after 4th hour and I decided to go to Meijer's to get my mum and I some earmuffs. I had to work from 3-7 and today's the kind of day when I want to just go upstairs into my room and get under my blankets and lay there, listening to music, and hopefully fall asleep.

Today's outfit came from..

Shirt- Online Spartan Store
Jeans- Younkers
Shoes- Puma

I decided to wear a State shirt I received for Christmas. I have my college visit there tomorrow, so thankful I will be missing school.

Day 79

Well last night the roads were absolutely horrible, and the school's power was out. Of course the thought crossed my mind that, "Hey, maybe there will be two snow days in a row ;)." I was sadly mistaken, when I checked my cell phone this morning and saw no Honeywell text. For those of you that don't know or don't go to our school, we have a system, Honeywell, that texts us or calls us to notify school closings, cancellations, exams, etc. Tuesday I was delighted to see, "School is closed today due to icy secondary roads."

On my day off, Spencer and I went to C&R's for breakfast, and we watched a movie. I then had to work from 3-7 which was a damper on my day. Later, I met up with Kelsey and Brooke and we went to Hastings to watch the Boys Basketball game. They lost by 4, but from the 2nd half I saw, I thought they did pretty well.

Today's outfit came from...

Cardigan- Aeropostale ($7.99)
Tank Top- The Buckle
Jeans- The Buckle
Shoes- The Buckle
Necklace- The Buckle

I never usually wear longer necklaces, I think it's just because I don't like how they lay on my chest.

I received these shoes as a gift for Christmas and I really like them!

Day 77

This is the week I decided to do my task jar! I know I said last week was, but I decided that last weeks task would be to finish the jar. This is what it looks like. Sure is a beaut, isn't it?

I will share the task at the end of the week, also if I accomplished it or not.

Today's outfit came from...

Leggings- Vanity
Sweatshirt- Meijer's
Leg Warmers- DSW
Uggs- Online

Loved today's look. I felt like I belonged in the 80's fitness days. This morning, I straightened and "ratted" my hair. Then I bobby pinned my bangs back, and pulled it in a pony tail. For me, when I rat my hair, I make sure I shower right before and blow dry it. I think blow drying it makes it look fuller already and less shiny than if I air dry it or sleep on it over night.

Day 76

WE SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD SCHOOL!

The roads were terrible, they were just terrible. This just makes me mad because it's the middle of January, we haven't had a snow day yet, so that means we have 5 to use up. Come on Lakewood Transportation System, you gotta call off school with stuff like this!

I stayed at my pal Kelsey's house with Brooke. I had my outfit picked out before I went over there. This outfit included heels. Horrible idea, just horrible. I slipped probably at least 10 times, only completely fell once. The tile floors were so slippery let me tell ya.

Today's outfit came from...

Blouse- H&M
Jeans- Love Culture
Necklace- Vanity
Shoes- JC Penny's

I couldn't take a picture this morning because my mother took the nice camera down to Detroit, so therefore it left me with my phone to take the picture. Didn't quite do the job i'll say. You can't see my shoes but they were about a 3 in heel. Also, I curled my hair yesterday and put it back in a messy curly bun with a big red flower type thing. I liked it.

Day 75- lonely bird

Time for a lonely weekend. That's right my parents are headed on down to the big DETROIT CITY! They left today and are gone till Sunday night. So, I'm having a huge party Saturday! Everyone and anyone is invited!

Yeah... I'm a jokester. I'm not having a party. I am excited to hang with my pals though :)

Today's outfit was very sophisticated I feel. I got this shirt for Christmas and I really believe it's a "college look". I just thought I looked older.

Today's outfit came from..

Shirt- Khol's
Jeans- Forever 21
Shoes- JC Penny's

Tonight I am staying at my pal, Kelsey's. Should be a good time! It's also my first play practice tonight which I'm also geeked about!

Decided to do my hair straight today with a headband, not braided this time. hehe

Day 75

I decided not to go to my 1st hour art class today. I showed up to my second hour Spanish class though. That was not a good idea. Just not a fun time in there today I suppose. Next came lunch, I ended up spilling my contents on my tray. Not just spilling on the table though, let me tell ya. I was walking away after paying and my tray split in half and spilled down my leggings and on the ground! The nice lunch lady let me get another plate FO FREE

Today's outfit came from..

Sweater: American Eagle
Denim Leggings: DSW
Scarf: Charlotte Russe
Boots: DSW
Earrings: Charlotte Russe

I decided to wear my hair straight today, but I tried spicing it up a bit with a braided headband. But this wasn't a braided headband I bought, it was my  own hair.

Day 74- deals!

Today's all about good deals for this girl! I got great deals or didn't even have to pay for the things I wore today which is what I love!

Today's outfit came from..

Shirt- Meijer's $5.60!
Jeans- Coworker, Barb Nurenburg gave me these fine little pants for free!
Boots- Charlotte Russe $20
Earrings- Charlotte Russe $2

That means today's outfit was under $30. I know looking at $30 it seems like a lot of money but really when you think about it, most of your jeans cost $30. And a nice stylish pair of boots like this would usually cost more than my whole outfit. I'm happy with all of the things I wore today and I felt great.

My hair once again didn't work out like I tried, but it still looked nice in my eyes. I've realized that my hair uaually won't turn out like the pictures I'm looking at, but then again that gives uniqueness to my hairstyle for the day!

I've started tasks for my jar.. Here are 15 of the tasks that I have decided to put in, or that other people have told me to put in..

  1. Pay for someone behind me at a fast food restaurant.
  2. Write a letter to Kalli Barrone.
  3. Give someone I don't know a compliment every day.
  4. Donate something to Goodwill.
  5. Give 5 homeless people $10 throughout the week.
  6. Exercise every day of the week.
  7. Wear sweats for a whole day!
  8. Clean my car, inside and out.
  9. Spend the weekend in Detroit.
  10. Give Sawyers old clothes to a mother in need.
  11. Go to Stanton and buy something that says Stanton on it.
  12. No fast food all week.
  13. Tell Aisha she's pretty and skinny.
  14. Cook dinner for my friends.
  15. Stay up all night to see the sun set and the sun rise.
Some of these tasks are stuff I've wanted to do but never really had the time or thought about it at the right moment. This is somewhat of a bucket list for the year as well, it's just easier for me to do these tasks.

Day 73

Today went well. I will start out with that. Not much happened, went to school, worked out, worked, and headed to my grandma's for dinner. It was nice spending time with my family today.

There is no blog for Friday because I did not go to school Friday. I went to Business Professionals of America Regionals and I wore the business outfit from spirit week.

Today's outfit is somewhat old fashion in my mind. I don't know why I'm into this sort of stuff. Hey, maybe it's not old fashion to anybody else but myself, but I like to think it is. If you follow my blog, you've more than likely seen this skirt before on Day 28- 50's. That look was vintage as I like to call it. It was also a summery look in my mind. I feel like today's outfit was made more of a wintery look with the added tights. Also, I still wore the scarf but in my hair this time :)

Today's outfit came from...

Shirt: H&M
Skirt: Lucky Brand Store
Shoes: JC Penny's
Tights: JC Penny's
Scarf: Vanity

Today's hair do was pulled tightly back with a slight curl in it. I curled it like i did on Day-70, then simply pulled it back into a tight pony tail and pinned my bangs back.

Day 71- snow bunny

I titled this blog "snow bunny" because I think this outfit well correlates with the snow, even though our neck of the woods hasn't really been the white winter wonderland I had been expecting. One of the big items I received for Christmas this year was Leg Warmers. That's right, I'm gonna try to bring em' back! My pal Aisha also got leg warmers for Christmas.

Today's outfit came from...

Sweater- Aeropostale
Jeans- Love Culture
Leg Warmers- K-Mart
Shoes- DSW

I'll admit, I'm not a big Aeropostale person. Don't know why, but I just don't like the store. Looking at the leg warmers I wore today, not many things would go with them. I really wanted to find something to match. Low and behold, I was watching TV and a commercial came on with a girl wearing this black sweater I wore today, and at the end it said from Aeropostale. I decided to go to the mall and see if they had the sweater. I saw a sweater I liked in American Eagle, and checked out the price. $50. HELL NO! (please excuse my language). On I went to Aeropostale to see if theirs was any cheaper. I searched for the sweater, and surprisingly found it... wait for it....... for $7.99! HOLEY MOLEY. Now this isn't some flimsy sweater, it's very warm and thick. I immediately grabbed it without thinking. Great buy am I right?

This morning I didn't quite know what I wanted to wear. I've come to find myself matching my clothes with my hair, not the other way around like most people do. I knew the hair style I was going for today and here's the finished product.

Not quite what I had in mind but I still loved how it looked in the front. the back on the other had was a little messy, but I was fine with it. I tried the braid down the back but it didn't quite work out. I was running slightly short on time this morning. Here's the picture I went off of from Pinterest.

Day 70

As I said in yesterday's post, I am doing a different hair style every day of the week for one of my new years resolutions. Today's hair was more of a vintage look.

I got this idea from Pinterest. Here's the how to..

Lauren Conrad's hair is a bit longer than mine so it doesn't look the exact same, but it still does look somewhat vintage. To go along with the hair, I wore a skirt that I think was also somewhat "old fashion".

Today's outfit came from...

Shirt- Forever 21
Skirt- Forever 21
Tights- JC Penny's
Shoes- Target

New Years Resolutions

Happy New Years

It's now 2012. This year will be such a big and important year in my life. I will officially become an adult. Turnin the big 18! I will be graduating. I will go to college, which means I will be moving out. Sawyer will learn to walk, crawl, talk, and eat regular food this year. I pray that I will be home when he does these things, but there's a chance I won't be.

Now on to New Years Resolutions. So many people make these resolutions, as do I every year. The more I think about it though, why do we do these? How many people actually stick with their resolutions all year long? I know I don't and I know many people don't as well. It is a good thing to look forward to doing though I'll admit. I thought long and hard about my resolutions this year, and here they finally are.

  1. Different Hair. Pinterest will be helping me out with this one. I plan to do my hair different every day of the week. I will post pictures on here of the new, fun and exciting hair styles I start to try.
  2. Jar full of Tasks. This is one I'm excited about. I plan on making a jar, and filling the jar with tasks. I will choose a task on the Monday of every week, and actually do the task. Since Monday has already passed for this week, I have decided to spend this week making tasks for me to do throughout the year.
  3. Think Twice. This one is all about $$$$$$$$. I am going to think twice about spending money on unnecessary things.
I'm excited about these. #1, I'm sure I will get sick of, especially this Summer. #2, I'm very excited about. Some of the tasks will be big ones, and some will be small. Some as small as wear sweats all day long, and some as big as set a date in the Summer to go to Chicago for the weekend.

I'd love for anybody to give me ideas of tasks to put in the jar. every task anyone gives me will be put in the jar (unless it's totally unreasonable). Message me on facebook. or comment on here. I'd really love it!

Thanks for reading today's post :)
