Day 105

I feel as if I looked sophisticated today. I wore this sleeveless shirt a few weeks ago. I love it! I have wanted to wear it with dress pants for a while, but without a cardigan. Wearing it was a gamble for me, however. I was worried I would get in trouble because it would be counted as a "tank top" and we aren't allowed to wear tank tops in school. But honestly, this is not an inappropriate outfit what so ever! It's not like I'm showin cleavage, too much leg or anything like that! I am showing some arm, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. I did not get in trouble today though!

Task #6- visit Stanton

Task #6

 

I  was excited for this task. I dragged Spencer on out to Stanton with me on Saturday evening. Once getting there and trying to find something that actually said "Stanton" on it, I realized our 40 mi trip should've been taken earlier in the day. I'll admit it, I was getting pretty frustrated. We stopped at 7 different places and none of them had something I could buy with my last name on it (besides a receipt, haha). I resorted to taking a picture of a flag that said Stanton on it, and I couldn't even get a good picture of it! Even though the night started off bad, Spencer took me on a date to Olivera's which I was pretty happy about :)

We had a snow day Friday! So happy! My weekend was filled with a ton of stuff for the musical! Friday we had rehearsal from 3-5:30, Saturday from 10-1 but I worked till 12 so I went from 12-3 (helped out with the set and other miscellaneous things). Sunday was tech rehearsal from 2-8:30. It was quite a long day. My Grandma Diane and Grandpa Randy's Birthday was Sunday too! I went to Spencer's basketball game in LCC on Friday with his mother and I got the chance to catch up with Kalli B (the girl I wrote the letter too in task #2. It was nice :)

Day 104

I've been thinking lately. Thinking about how it's been so long since I've worn my brown or black boots! This needed to change today. So I broke them out of the front closet, and decided it was time to wear them again before it becomes too warm. I also forgot to take a picture before school, so I had to take it later that night.

Funny story about today.. I got a text in my 2nd hour Spanish class that said "did you mean to leave your car running?" I thought back to taking out my keys and putting them in my purse. I couldn't remember doing this, because it never happened. I ran outside to the parking lot to find my keys in the ignition but the car wasn't running. My stomach dropped and I thought I ran out of gas, but really a nice young boy in my grade named Jared Gill turned it off for me right before I went out there. A couple teachers knew my car was running and Denny Ackerson had one of his auto kids turn it off for me. Boy am I thankful!

I feel like this week is dragging out, but really it was a four day week for me!

Today was weird. I'm just getting mad at everything and everyone.

Today I wore my Great Grandpa's Scarf. My Grandpa died in 2008. I really do like this scarf quite a bit though. I was so happy because today I had absolutely nothing going on finally! I just went home, lied on the couch, ate ice cream, and watched TV. Let me tell ya, it's been months since I've been able to do that.

Task #5- Give Compliments

Task #5

This weeks task wasn't too bad at all really. I will admit,there's only one person I gave a compliment to that I had absolutely no idea who they were. I've decided that I would give compliments to people that I don't really know personally.

This weekend was Winterfest, I had a really cute date.

There weren't very many people there. Hardly any at all actually, but I still made the best of it. I really love Spenc's suspenders. I think he looked really handsome in them!

Day 101- Lakewood Day

Part of me sad that yesterday was our last Lakewood day. Last week was our last spirit week, and tonight is our last Winterfest. But another part of me is overjoyed because I'm that much closer to graduating, going to college, starting my own life. I'm so excited to get out of Lakewood and experience new things, and meet new people.

The Winterfest game last night was somewhat a downer. We lost. On the bright side, my friends Brooke and Spencer won Winterfest Court!

Day 100- Safari!

I had so much fun with today's Safari day! I got the shirt from Goodwill, and wore my mom's khaki shorts. The fox pelt is my fathers. He did not know I took it this morning, but he didn't really care that I took it once I got home.

I saw more people dressing up today, but I feel like the spirit is down this week. It kind of makes me sad and gloomy. I don't get why people don't dress up! Especially if they're Seniors. It is our last week of spirit week we will ever have! I get it, some people aren't going to dress up every single day because they don't have the outfits for them, but at least dress up for some of the days!

Day 99- SCOOBY DOO!

Can you guess what character I was today?

 

I am Velma. This outfit is just like hers, minus the orange socks. I did not have any orange socks, so I substituted them with red socks. Fair trade I'll say. A couple people said could actually pass for her if my hair was a bit shorter. I don't really know how that made me feel. I also kept saying, "Jenkies!" today.

I went to quilting class after school! It was my mother and I's third week. I finished my table runner too! Here's a picture of it.

Day 98- Harry Potter & Valentine's Day!

Today's theme was Harry Potter Day. This one was fun! I really wish everyone in the school would've dressed up today, teachers and everything. I can't imagine how much fun it would've been to think Lakewood was Hogwarts!

This picture was taken at the end of the day.. I obviously had shoes on, and my hair was parted down the middle like Hermoine Granger's from Harry Potter. I couldn't take a picture this morning because I was wearing Spencer's Harry Potter cape that you see in the picture. I needed to get it from him this morning.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

I know a lot of people don't like Valentine's Day. Most of these people are single, and I'm sure if they had someone to share it with, they'd love it! I didn't get to spend the day with Spenc or hang out with him like I would've liked to today because of my play rehearsal and his basketball game, but I still had a great Valentine's Day with him! He had a great suprise for me, and I think he liked his gift as well. On the plus side, the Lakewood Boys Basketball team beat Belding tonight! Greta day, such a great day.

Day 97- Pajama Day

That's right.. the time has come once again..

SPIRIT WEEK!

I just love spirit week. It's just such a good time. It saddens me to think that this is the last one I will be doing, so I'm trying to make the best of it! 

As you can see, there's a hole on the right side of the night gown I wore. This is because I'm stupid! This morning, I thought I could iron the wrinkles out because they were bugging me. It didn't dawn on me that you cannot iron silk! I didn't realize until the iron started pulling the fabric apart. I was pretty mad.

Task #4- Donate something to Goodwill

I went in thinking this was going to be an easy task. It really wasn't. My mom just donated a lot of our clothes to Goodwill so I recently went through my clothes for this donation. I decided to go through my summer stuff. I chose a pair of shorts to donate. They aren't really that fashionable, they're just white shorts. They also show a little too much booty for my liking, haha.

Day 96

What a snowy day, finally! The weather here in MI just can't change it's mind. Today I didn't really do much. I went to school, had play practice, came home, went to the air port to pick up my aunt and uncle with my Mom. Kind of a boring Friday am I right?

Day 95

Today was more of a relaxed day for me. I decided to just rock leggings and a sweater that I got for Christmas from my mum and paps. Earlier this past week I got asked if I had something embarrassing or funny that happened to me in high school by the yearbook staff. I told them the story I told in Day 16 about how my dress got caught in my bag and I walked around the school for a good 6 or 7 minutes before I figured it out (read if you want a good laugh). Today the people from the yearbook staff decided to get a picture of me to put by my story. Of course it's the day I dress down! Ugh! Well I still took it. I'm excited to read the story they put in it.

Day 94

I loved my outfit today. It was inspired by someone who is my absolute favorite actress, Zooey Deschanel! I think she's just great! I love her new show, New Girl, on Fox. When I went shopping this weekend with my friend Brooke, a lady in the Buckle told me that she's seeing people wearing tights with shorts in magazines. I personally think you can do this, as long as it's worn the right way. I've been trying to decide whether or not I wanted to try tights with shorts, and then I saw Zooey wearing it and I knew the next day I had to try it!

Day 93

Today I am just worn out! I went to school, had  a tanning appt. right after school. Then I had to rush up to the school to play practice from 3-5:30. Next I went to work until 7. I'm ready to just sleep. Throughout a majority of this I had a SCREAMING headache too!

On a side note, Kalli got my little package! I'm so happy. Play practice was great as well.

Friday I went on my Western Visit. Today was SENIOR SKIP DAY! So I did not go to school. Turns out over 100 of us weren't there. :)

My weekend was so great! Spencer had a fabulous surprise date planned for us. He made me a crab dinner (my favorite), took me ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle, and took me to a movie. We saw Chronicle. It was great, I encourage you to see it!

Day 90

I wore a dress today. I liked it a lot, even though it is a more summery pattern. I obviously am not going to let my bare legs come out in the wintertime! So I wore tights with this dress.

Day 89

Today I went to school for a full day! The last time I went to school for a full day was Thursday. That's crazy to believe. School went by fairly fast, I started a new art project which I think will turn out decent. Now after school is the fun part of my day :)

My Mother and I started a quilting class up at The Quilting Basket in town. I absolutely love it. Her and I are both doing table runners, but they're each a different type. I am so excited for the weeks to come! The classes are free, you just have to buy your material and book basically. It's so much fun. It makes me want to go into Fashion in college even more. I had a great time with my Mumsie tonight.
